Be Part of This
There are many ways to be part of the Swing for Life – BQ Foundation and the BQ Open. Whether you’re on the course or behind the scenes, every role helps carry this forward.
Play in the BQ Open
For golfers and foursomes
Join us on the course for the 2nd Annual BQ Open, a four-person scramble held each June during Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
This tournament is designed to be competitive, well-run, and meaningful — bringing people together for a great day of golf while supporting a cause that matters.
What to expect
- Four-person scramble format
- On-course contests and sponsor activations
- A capped field to keep the experience personal
- Purpose woven thoughtfully throughout the day
Sponsor the Tournament
For businesses and community partners
Sponsoring the BQ Open is a meaningful way to support men’s mental health while aligning your business with a trusted local cause.
Sponsors help make the event possible — from player experience to on-course elements — and play a direct role in expanding the foundation’s impact.
Sponsorship options include
- Hole and event sponsorships
- Brand visibility on course and online
- In-kind donations, raffle, or auction items
Support Men's Mental Health
For anyone seeking support or wanting to learn more
Men’s mental health is at the core of why Swing for Life exists.
We focus on awareness, access, and connection — helping point people toward trusted local resources and encouraging conversations that often don’t happen on their own.
Whether you’re looking for help, supporting someone else, or simply want to understand more, this is a place to start.
A Simple Reminder
However you choose to be part of this, you’re helping carry something meaningful forward — for our community, for men’s mental health, and for Braxton’s legacy.
Volunteer or Help Out
For people who want to support behind the scenes
It takes a lot of hands to make the BQ Open and foundation efforts run smoothly.
Volunteers help with:
- Tournament-day logistics
- Registration and check-in
- Raffles and contests
- Setup and breakdown
No experience required — just a willingness to help.
Support Scholarships & Future Opportunities
For donors focused on long-term impact
One of the long-term goals of Swing for Life is to provide scholarships connected to golf and the trades — reflecting Braxton’s love for the game and the value of building a meaningful path forward.
The scholarship program is currently in development, with funds raised through the BQ Open helping lay the foundation for future opportunities.
Not Sure Where You Fit?
That's okay.
Swing for Life is about showing up in the way that makes sense for you — whether that’s playing, supporting, volunteering, or simply learning more.
If you have questions or want help finding the right place to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
