Scholarships are a future pillar of the Swing for Life – BQ Foundation.
As the foundation grows, our goal is to provide local scholarships that reflect who Braxton was — supporting young people through golf and the trades, while continuing to promote connection, confidence, and purpose.

How Scholarships Fit Our Mission

Mental health initiatives are the core focus. Scholarships are a long-term expression of that mission—supporting purpose, connection, confidence, and opportunity through golf and the trades.

Why Scholarships Matter

  • Scholarships open doors & create momentum for people
  • This helps the foundation build lasting impact, not just a single-day event.

Scholarship Focus Areas

  1. Trade & Technical Education Scholarships (2027)
    1. Who it's for (students pursuing tradeschool at the TTC)
    2. What it can help cover:
      1. Tuition / program fees
      2. Tools / materials
      3. Certifications
    3. Desired Outcome: Builds purpose, confidence, and long-term well-being through the kind of work Braxton took pride in every day. 
  2. Golf Scholarships (2027)
    1.  Who it's for (local highschool golfers)
    2. What it can help cover:
      1. Team fees + equipment 
      2. Tournament participation 
      3. Access to the game of golf
    3. Desired Outcome: builds confidence, sportsmanship, and meaningful connection through the game of golf.

Where We Are Today

Scholarships are launching 2027. Our current focus is building the foundation, growing the tournament, and ensuring long-term sustainability so programs launch responsibly.
